Magic and Music at the Mansion series resumes August 13th

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 29, 2011– The monthly "Matinée Enchantée" performances at the Thatcher-Young Mansion , featuring deceptionist Richard Hatch, violinist Rosemary Hatch and their son, pianist Jonathan Hatch, will resume on August 13th, after a brief hiatus due to scheduling conflicts. "Rosemary teaches violin and coaches chamber music for six alfa romeo weeks each summer at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan," reports Richard Hatch. "She really enjoys this annual opportunity to nurture the next generation of virtuosi, but Jonathan and I are looking forward to her return to Cache Valley in August!" Rosemary will resume her teaching of violin and viola students at her studio at the Hatch Academy of Magic and rc helicopter and car market place Music, on the second floor of the Thatcher-Young Mansion, the second week of August. Group and private magic classes have continued through the summer, in Hatch's magic studio on the third floor of the Mansion. The family ensemble has taken advantage of the summer performance hiatus to work on new repertoire, some of which will debut at the August 13th performance. Among the new ensemble works are "The Ink of Enamored" by Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser and "The Music Box of Anna Eva Fay," inspired by the popular vaudeville medium of that name. Musical selections, both solo pieces and performed simultaneously with the magic, by Bach, Beethoven, Kreisler, Miyagi and others will again be part of the afternoon performances.

Performer's biographies:

Richard Hatch holds two graduate degrees in Physics from Yale University, but finds it easier apparently to violate the laws of nature than to discover them. A childhood interest in magic became a lifelong obsession after he met and was encouraged by the German magician Fredo Raxon in 1970. A full time professional "deceptionist" since 1983, Richard moved with his wife, violinist Rosemary Kimura, to Houston, Texas in 1985, shortly after winning first place in the annual New England Close Up Magic Competition in Worcester, Massachusetts. For several years he honed his craft entertaining the guests as one of the house magicians at Houston's Magic Island Nightclub before devoting himself exclusively to private and corporate work, traveling internationally on behalf of his clients. Richard and his wife Rosemary moved to Cache valley last Fall and opened the Hatch Academy of Magic and Music in Logan's historic 1878 Thatcher-Young Mansion last January.

Rosemary Kimura Hatch received her Masters degree from Yale School of Music and her Bachelors Degree with Performer's Certificate from Eastman School of Music. She has studied Chamber Music auto part with the Fine Arts, Tokyo and Cleveland Quartets and with Raphael Hillyer. She has performed with the New Haven, Hartford, San Antonio and Houston Symphonies and with the Houston Grand Opera. Her principle private instructors have been Sergiu Luca, Syoko Aki, Peter Salaff, Charles Castleman and Martha Katz. As a teacher herself she has been on the faculty of Music Schools in New Haven, Milwaukee and Houston. She currently teaches privately at the Hatch Academy of Magic and Music in Logan and at Interlochen Summer Arts Camp in Michigan. She and Richard Hatch were married in 1982 and have two children, Catherine and Jonathan.

Jonathan Hatch has studied piano with Paul Krystofiak at St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas and with Sophia Gilmson at the University of Texas in Austin. He is currently studying piano privately with Hilary Coombs while simultaneously pursuing studies to become a Veterinary Technician. In his spare time, he volunteers at the Cache Valley Humane Society.

"Oman Water Report Q3 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 27, 2011– BMI View: Oman is facing a sharp rise in demand for desalinated water. State-owned utility Oman Power & Water Procurement Company (OPWP) forecasts that demand will grow at an average of 8% a corsa nnually, to reach 278mn cubic buick metres (m3) by 2017. This leaves little room for manoeuvre as OPWP attempts to boost capacity at its major independent water and power projects (IWPP) and independent water-only projects. In July 2011, the Salalah IWPP is due to start operations and the bidding process for the Al Ghubrah independent water project is also due to get underway. The Omani authorities have also promised to speed up studies into the Duqm IWPP - which could lead to significant new desalination capacity. Invitations to bid may be solicited before the end of 2011, though the project may yet be denuded of its water component. Nonetheless, BMI is confident that the Omani authorities remain in control of the process and will be in a position to meet demand over the next seven years.

* In Q2 2011, OPWP, Oman's state-owned water and electricity company, set out its demand forecasts for the next seven years. Its forecasts show that overall demand for potable and industrial water increasing from around 163mn m3 in 2010 to 278mn m3 in 2017 - an average growth rate of around 8% per year. * An assessment of the demand/supply balance in the Ghubrah Zone indicates new desalination capacity is needed to cover rising demand and to compensate for the upcoming retirement of some older desalination units at the Ghubrah Power and Desalination Plant. In this context, state regulator the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) has advised OPWP that it will need to install an additional 191 aston martin ,000 cubic metres per day (m3/d) of capacity by 2014. Duqm will see its requirement rise from 6,000 m3/d in 2013 to 15,000 m3/d by 2017. Only Sur has sufficient water to cover demand through to 2017, says OPWP.

Non ferrous ingots and billets are used for metal casting worldwide by Brass, Copper, Bronze and non-ferrous metal foundries. PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 15, 2011 – The Chevrolet Camaro is at war with the Ford Mustang. The battles are waged at racetracks, drag strips, and especially red lights across the country. Don't believe it? Check out Chevy's latest attack on Ford—the Camaro ZL1, a direct assault on Ford's most powerful Mustang, the 550-horsepower Shelby GT500.

Looking at the two adversaries' histories, it's amazing just how much the Mustang and Camaro have in common. Like the Shelby moniker Ford uses on its top-of-the-line Mustang, the Camaro ZL1 name dates back to the 1960s. In 1969, Chevy gave an exclusive group of 69 custom Camaros a very special V-8 dubbed ZL1. Built for racing, the original ZL1 engine was an all-aluminum 427 cubic-inch monster boasting 430 horsepower. To avoid being hassled by insurance companies that were fighting against other high-powered machines, many believe GM underrated that original ZL1 automobile news by about 100 horses.

Today, both the Shelby and the ZL1 boast supercharged V-8 engines under their hoods. The ZL1 is powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 that originated in the Cadillac CTS Coupe. In the Cadillac, the engine tops out at 556 horsepower. In the ZL1, Chevy is promising at least 550 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque. (Since the Shelby GT500 has almost exactly the same stats, it's not hard to imagine Chevy striving to harness all the power it can get under the hood in order to one-up Ford.)

To distinguish the ZL1 from lesser Camaros, the company has given the ZL1 an aluminum hood with vents to help release the copious amount of heat created by the hyped-up engine. The car also gets a new front bumper with a larger mouth, plus vents to help cool the ZL1's massive front brakes. Lightweight 20-inch forged wheels are wrapped in the widest tires of any Camaro. Chevy has also completed a thorough retuning of the suspension, i raising chickens ncluding adjustable magnetic shocks shared with the Corvette, presumably to give the driver a better chance of controlling the beastly V-8.

Inside, the interior is as classic as ever. There's a new steering wheel and a boost gauge to monitor the supercharger. Blake Koch brings hot Rookie of the Year race to the New Hampshire "Magic Mile"

"It's been an up and down season for us for sure," said Koch. "I'd really like to make a few strong runs in a row for Daystar and all of the guys at the shop that work so hard on this team. This weekend we're in a good position to do that."

Last weekend became a landmark performance for Koch in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Although he has finished higher in previous events, Koch's 22nd place finishing position took a significant bite out of his point deficit to fellow competitor Timmy Hill in the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings.

The Rookie of the Year standings are separate from the overall NASCAR Nationwide point standings. Eligible candidates earn points based on their best 17 finishes of the season. Those points are earned through entry points and competition points based on finishing position. Top 10 bonus points are also awarded along with bonus points based on three segments of the season which are voted upon by a panel of voters at the completion of the season.

As he heads into the final 16 races of the season starting this Saturday in the New England 200, Koch is a mere nine points behind Hill in the Rookie of the Year standings. The coveted title is now down to just Hill and Koch as the only two drivers that can mathematically capture it. Trailing the two leaders are Jennifer Jo Cobb, Ryan Truex and Charles Lewandoski.

Koch's sudden surge into single digit status came last weekend in Kentucky when he finished thre 2011 Dodge Durango R / T e laps ahead of Hill. The strong performance by the Daystar #81 and the MacDonald Motorsports team cut Koch's point gap to nearly half from 17 points down to just nine points.

As he heads to the Granite State this weekend, Koch will set his sights on another strong run. Should he finish ahead of Hill on the 1.058 mile track that seats over 53,000 spectators, Koch will earn the Sunoco Rookie of the Race award for the sixth time this season.

While his threat to Hill for the Rookie of the Year point lead is by far Koch's number one focus in the events to come, he will also look to continue his advancement in the overall NASCAR Nationwide bmw M5 specification standings.
