Rose told host Malcolm that the way news is being reported sometimes dangerously cuts corners in order to satisfy the public's insatiable appetite for news-on-demand, which is heavily influenced by social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook.
"You have to check your sources," Rose said. "If you run with something too quick, you can end up with egg on your face."
Rose's appearance was timely, as it has been widely reported that Twitter first broke the story of the death of master terrorist Osama bin Laden.
Rose also said that because of the short attention span of today's consumer, companies can spread themselves too thin in trying to market themselves in too many different areas.
"Find a niche and stick with it," Rose advised.
Rose added that the success of his PR company, Eclectic Media Productions, in representing such a diverse group of people is largely due to identifying his clients' areas of expertise and passion.
